Don’t Feed The Birds
Naomi Zewde writes:
One day, a friend of mine in high school asked me whether I had ever been to London. I said, “Yes. Twice. Once when I was about 5 years old and once more recently.” He said, “Well, I was looking at pictures from when I was a kid and there’s a little girl in this picture that looks like it could be you.”
I doubted it was anything, but I told him to bring it in. And there’s us! I was 5, he was 6, and we were feeding pigeons together in Trafalgar Square. He lived in Houston at the time and I lived in Louisiana. We became friends about ten years later, after my family moved to Texas.
